01How the method works
YouTube ranks a video for a query by what happens after the click: watch time, retention, engagement and whether the viewer stays on the platform. We put the video in front of real people who search the target query in the target country during the window when YouTube is still testing the upload, so the sessions it records are search sessions with normal behaviour.
The video usually reaches the top for each tag within hours, and the position is held through the campaign while the signals accumulate. From there Suggested picks the video up on its own. We work with videos published within the last 12 hours whenever possible, because the signals collected in the launch window weigh the most.
02Guarantee and conditions
Ranking targets are agreed per tag before launch. If the video does not reach them under the guarantee terms, the next run is free of charge. The guarantee does not cover the 3-day TEST plan, extremely competitive queries where YouTube rotates results on purpose, adult or suggestive content, or channels below the minimum of 10 videos and 50 subscribers.
During a campaign, do not run third-party botting or bought views on the same video: they poison the retention signal and the position with it.
03Transparency
